SUR LA ROUTE A DEUX - ON ROAD HAS TWO
1 mai 2015

Retour du Pérou, retour en Argentine -Return of Peru, return to Argentina

Arrived at the Paso de Jama than 20 hours it is freezing cold. Snow is fallen these last hours of the surrounding peaks, rising above winds bring this cold air.

Police and customs officials did not want to leave their buildings meet our documents without making any checks.

Having to almost two hundred kilometres before arriving in the first city (where we know that camping structures are appalling) we decide to sleep near the newly opened service station.

Night temperatures are negative. We sleep but with cold, (we are more than 4400 meters).

The morning breakfast preparation gives the unguled. An hour after the sunrise over the mountains the temperature warms.

Around noon we are Puamarca. We will have lunch and do a little shopping. The evening we arrive at Salta where we set up at the municipal campsite.

The thief
In this Friday, March 27, we learn that a traveller with which we have well sympathized suffered while he was in Mendoza to a stroke. The new we have been communicated by others who read it on the internet.
We decide at the end of the afternoon to go to messages on the internet. It is our comrade Jean-Marie Piñero it. Other messages suggest us also some concerns but without affecting us as much as the case by Jean-Marie. We send a message of consolation to his wife Marie-Jo.
Upon our return to the campsite we stop to chat with other french travelers. After a little delay we arrive at our campsite (at the bottom of the camping) for our canvas-kitchen has been totally moved (table, stools, chairs, stove table, bottle of gas, cooler, tancarville, have disappeared. Near the canvas we find stove and electrical cover plate. These latter elements, we suppose were not washed away due to time constraints (even probably have we disturbed thieves).
Now here we are without table, and other seats.
On the advice of the police that we brought for a declaration of flight we return to an area most populous (but more noisy).
The next day, when the official statement I understand that we can make a cross on our business. The police themselves suggesting that objects are already far or even same on sale in some corners of the city.

Curieuse invitation

Curious invitation
This Saturday, after the flight we were victims, french installed close to us, with which we have sympathized, we say be invited tomorrow Sunday, by an Argentine in the countryside. We can, if we wish, join them. A "assado" is planned. Of course everyone will pay its participation. Not to change us ideas but also to spend a pleasant day, we accept. Two other pairs of french also joined us.
Sunday morning... Everyone is thrown early because the place where we have to is located 150 km from Salta and appointment is scheduled with the Argentine and his wife at 7 o'clock. A good ten minutes before we are with two vehicles waiting in front of the campsite... It is only 8: 30 pm that arrive the Argentine.
After 2 hours of routes we arrive in the village of El Galpon. There, our inviting us takes shopping then walks us through the centre. Obviously it shows its guests.
Leaving the village we leave for 'property' to be the assado. After a track we enter in a meadow, where the grass is high and no path. A fence is passed between the wires. Then, we come close to a ruin. Nothing is ready, the wood is to break. There are a rickety table and a few dusty benches.
Men begin to work, which involved wood to make the fire, that going to a hot spring which is theoretically scheduled to take baths (the trenches are to be cleaned and it is dirty).
Two hours later, we eat (too cooked to our liking) meat in the company of pigs that graze there and that we need to hunt regularly.
Late afternoon, the hot water flows correctly bath (it's almost clean) but it is late and we need to return to Salta, (only Michel takes a bath).
The evening of back to the campsite we find for some (who had bare legs) that we have been bitten by bugs that were in the tall grass. Result of the purulent buttons and legs swollen by edema for several days.

We welcome one more week to Salta without discovering great thing again. We appreciate the company of two other camping travelers Elisabeth and Michel, which are crest in the Drôme.
April 4, 2009 - leaving Salta we intend to go for a walk in URUGUAY. The road being long enough we believe before strolling along the Rio Paraná.
The road between Salta and Corrientes is long and monotonous. In addition we know it for already taking in the other direction. We are therefore doing the two-step.

We do not stop in Corrientes but Goya which is without great interest. The next day we are at Esquina where we find camping "El Gringos". The place is nice but after a first night at the edge of the Rio Paraná we wish to leave. Many mosquitoes and Argentinean campers prevent us from sleep. Upon receipt of the campsite (away from several hundred metres from the river) is proposed to settle on a grassy field nearby. After reflection we accept.
Eh, Gaston! is the telephone that his and never person who responds
While we are still on the edge of the Rio, a couple in his 60s just invite us to dinner empanadas and other Milanese at the campsite restaurant.
We review this couple at our facility near the reception. It reiterates its invitation...
At noon we are invited to an aperitif and then lunch. We are first surprised to not see our guests share our table.(although they come an aperitif) Very quickly, we understand that it is responsible for camping.
The evening we are again satisfied with full meal. Although occupied by other clients Gaston and Suzanna come to share a few moments with us.
Over dinner we find ourselves in their company on the outside. A warm sympathy, around bottles of wine, takes us to a few witty. Bernadette launches even to sing the opening lines of the song by Nino Ferrer "Gaston was the telefon which sound". This makes laugh and brings even to a promise to send the famous disk to Gaston.
Before going bed Gaston invites us to stay another day so we enjoying the suckling pig that he will make bake tomorrow...
After a good night, fearing abuse, (especially for our stomachs) we decide to say goodbye to this friendly, Gaston and his kind wife Suzanna.
