De Saint Clair sur Rhône à Annecy.

A cause des libations faites pendant cette halte le départ de Saint Clair sur Rhône se fait dans la difficulté. Heureusement, Bernadette a été plus sobre. Elle souque ferme sur les pédales. A peine quittons-nous la localité que nous sentons une anomalie à la remorque. Nous constatons que le cadre en acier est fendu auprès de la fixation de la flèche. Nous ne pouvons pas continuer sans réparer. Bernard contacté par téléphone nous dégotte un atelier ou l'on peut faire une soudure. La chose faite nous repartons. Le soir, nous faisons étape au Grand Lemps dans un hôtel d'un autre âge. Alors que nous dînons, nous voyons la patronne, au bar, qui préoccupée par une tâche sur le bord d'un verre, mouille son doigt de salive, humidifie la tâche et essuie celle-ci avec un torchon douteux qui n'a, sans doute pas vu, depuis des lustres, le tambour de la machine à laver. Nous n'osons pas imaginer ce qui se passe en cuisine.

Avant d'arriver à Chambéry il nous faut passer le col des Échelles (l'autoroute plus directe ne nous est pas autorisée). Certains, nous avaient fait peur, en disant que la montée était difficile. Nous sommes surpris de la facilité relative de la progression.

A Chambéry, pendant le petit déjeuner, à l'hôtel, nous discutons avec un homme dans la trentaine. Il prétend posséder la très belle moto stationnée près de notre tandem. Quelques instants plus tard, le hasard veut que nous le voyons monter sur un scooter de 50cc. Sans se démonter il dit qu'il se sert de petit engin pour la ville. Le hâbleur nous quitte sans rougir...

De Chambéry à Aix les Bains nous empruntons une piste cyclable cachée dans la nature. Elle longe en certains endroits un torrent.

D'Aix les Bains àAnnecy , quelques cotes nous ralentissent en nous faisant transpirer. Le temps est chaud, brumeux et à l'humidité.

Notre fille Danièla vient à notre rencontre, accompagnée de nos trois petits enfants Maxime, Alexandra et Louise. Nous sommes approvisionnés en sandwiches et boissons énergétiques.

Après une semaine passée en famille nous reprenons la route en direction du sud.

From Chambery to Aix-les-Bains we borrow a clyclabe track hidden in nature. It runs in some places a torrent.

Aix les Bains in Annecy, a few sides slow us making us sweat. The weather is hot, hazy and humid.

Our daughter Daniela comes to meet us, accompanied by our three small children, Maxime, Alexandra and Louise. We are supplied with sandwiches and energy drinks.

After a week spent in family we take the road towards the South.
